On July 24th, a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the Turkish American community got together with American families for a picnic at Lake Mendota Public Park.
The weather was perfect for the picnic. People were smiling, chatting, laughing, talking and enjoying each others company. The friends we didn’t see for a long time were seen. The annual community picnic was held at the Mendota County Park for the gathering of American and Turkish friends of TACC-Madison.
The program included free Turkish-style endless cook out and activities for adults and children. It was a great cultural experience for families to share their culture and friendship with the people of other cultures.  As TACC-Madison, we believe social gatherings between multi cultural communities will promote understanding between cultures and build bridges among families and within the cosmopolitan society of Madison. We have gathered in a beautiful day for a great picnic at Mendota County Park in Madison. The day was a huge success, with a great turnout from members and their families.
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and great day. We played games; yakantop, basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc. We met new people and chatted with each other.
