Thank you for your interest in the activities of TACC-Madison including our Turkish classes. TACC-Madison have been organizing Turkish classes for K-8 kids between September and May since 2008. Our classes are held for 3 hours a week on Sunday mornings. On the other hand, Turkish classes are set up for kids who already have basic Turkish speaking skills. Therefore, these classes may not be ideal for students without any Turkish knowledge in their background. Having said that, we have had students attending our classes with no Turkish language background at all. For these students, being exposed to Turkish culture and language is definitely a plus, but the expectations have to be kept reasonable. In any event, we may offer Turkish classes solely for kids without any prior Turkish knowledge or for kids older than 8th grade in the future.
